Equipment Journal

ViewIT provides the opportunity to document equipment checks and maintenance items as journal entries in the Journal tab.

How to access the Equipment Journal

  1. To access equipment journal entries click on the Journal tab on the Live Equipment View.

  2. The application displays the option to add comments and to review past comment entries.  

  3. To add a journal entry, type a note in the comment field.
  4. Click on the Add button to insert the journal entry.

  5. The application displays the entry in chronological order with the user's name as the Author and the author's geographic location by latitude and longitude.   If you have administration permission then the Journal Entry delete option is displayed.

  6. Click on the Entry count field and select a higher number of entries to view journal entries further in the past.

  7. As an option, files can be attached to the journal entry.  Click on the Browse button to find your file on your device.  

  8. Files attached to past journal entries can be downloaded by clicking on the download icon next to the file name in the attachments column.  
  9. Once the file has downloaded then you can open the file on your device.

Note:  The geography location can be turned off by the Industrial Connectivity team if it is not preferred.
