Blue Pillar IIoT Platform 2022.10.27
Release Date: October 28, 2022
Enhancements
- A mechanism has been
implemented to prevent orphaned alarms in ViewIT. Orphaned alarms
occur when a specific tag, currently in the alarm state, is deleted in the Blue Pillar's ManageIT application. This would cause the alarm to disappear from the Equipment
UI in ViewIT, but the Site pin would remain red on the main map
page. This new feature checks for alarms upon a tag deletion request
in Blue Pillar's ManageIT application. If any alarms are found then the AlarmHistory database is
supplied with a ‘cleared’ time stamp of the current time. This
causes the Site pin to revert to green if no other alarms are present on
the Site.
Things to note about this feature: The ViewIT cache must be cleared manually in order to have the Site pin revert
to green immediately. Otherwise, it will revert when the cache is cleared
automatically within a 24-hour period. Any Users set up to receive email alerts for alarms on the affected Site will
NOT receive an ‘alarm cleared’ notification, as the tag will have been deleted. There will be no entry in the Alarm History table on the ALARM tab in ViewIT,
as the tag will have been deleted.
- The installed
software version number has been added to the ViewIT ‘Settings’ dropdown
menu. This was done strictly for informational purposes and to help
us verify that the proper version has been deployed.
- Version logging has been
added to the AlarmProcessor function app for informational purposes.
